Pickelball for Pelotonia is a #Smash Cancer pickleball fundraiser. 100% of event proceeds go to fund cancer research at The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute at The Ohio State University.
This is a Coed doubles event (teams can be women's doubles, men's doubles, or co-ed) with skill level divisions. Teams will play in round robin groups and the top four teams per division (based on total points and games won) will play in a bracket playoff for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
Round Robin play will be games to 15 win by 2. Play will be limited to 25 minutes per game. At 25 minutes the game will be called and scores entered. The playoff matches will be a game to 21, win by 2.
Entry fee is $60 per player (no transaction fees apply). One player of a team may register both players. Both players must be registered and entry fee paid to be eligible to play in the event. If players are of two different skill levels, please register for the higher of the two skill levels. Tournament Management reserves the right to move teams to a different division based on skill level if deemed necessary. No refunds will be provided.
DUPR scores - if all players of a match have a DUPR rating, the scores of the match will be automatically reported to DUPR. If any one player does not have a DUPR rating, then no scores for a match will be reported. All players must have a DUPR account/rating for scores to automatically be reported.
The first 200 players to register will receive a player swag bag.
